Neumann studio quality at an entry level price. Includes the transformerless circuit found in numerous Neumann microphones, with low self-noise and high sound pressure level transmission. The capsule, derived from that used in the U87, has a cardioid pattern and is acoustically well-balanced. Ideal for vocals (including spoken word) and a variety of instrumental duties.
