Retro looking 'Beta' version of the Classic looking '55' mic

If you've ever had a go with the 55SHII 'birdcage' mic, you'll know that really...it looks better on a film clip than it sounds on stage. BUT Shure has beefed up the guts of their new Super 55, and this one is a genuine ripper. Supercardioid dynamic mic that actually sounds better than it looks! Kind of like the first time you sing into a 'Beta' microphone after being raised on the SM series. Well worth a listen.
