Whenever you're ready to go get some location grabs, make sure you take Rode's Blimp along for the party - it was born ready. Blimp has been designed to reduce wind noise (via the windshield, or included removable fluffy 'dead wombat' high wind cover) and also mechanical vibration noise, via the integrated suspension system. Crush resistance via the honeycomb construction. For handheld use - there's a nicely shaped ambidextrous pistol grip and you can easliy screw a boompole into the 3/8" thread to get some good distance.
