Half-cardioid Condenser Mic for Kick drum & Piano

Shure has stepped up to the plate with this new '91' kick drum mic. The Beta91A packs a few nice features not found in its predecessor (Beta91). Immediately you'll notice when pulling it out of the box, it's a bit heavier than the old '91 (around 500g for Beta91A), and there's NO cable / preamp assembly require. XLR cable plugs straight into the back of this one. Nice 'bottom of your mousepad' style rubber on the base to help ease vibrations, and an EQ curve switch - (low mid scoop if you flick the switch, 7dB attenuation @ 400 kHz).

It has been designed for use inside kick drums, and can also be used for acoustic pianos. The Beta 91A features a new and updated microphone capsule, resulting in a more natural high frequency response than the Beta 91.
