Side-address condenser mic - Supercardioid

Entering the world of interchangable capsules, Shure has a little treasure here with Beta181. This supercardioid version - Beta181/S - like the other models is compact and side-address. Actually, the mic (including capsule) is just 12.5cm long, with all circuitry included within the body. Comes in a nice little pouch, with foam cutout space ready for addition capsules, including cardioid, omnidirectional and bi-directional (figure 8).

This supercardioid version is especially well-suited to live performance, by the rejection of unwanted sounds. Get it up close and cozy with the sound source and you'll capture a detailed picture.
