Zed10 (without the effects) just arrived
We're big on the mixers this week. Actually, to be a little more accurate, we're big on little mixers this week. Already there has been heaps of interest in the newly released Zed10FX (more here in a previous blog post), and now we've just received a nice shipment of Zed10 - without the in-built effects module.
Of course, the major bonus of not including the effects in this mixer is to keep down the cost down if you don't need effects. This makes Zed10 even more attractive for the stay-in-studio situation.

One of the more exciting releases in recent times (and there have been heaps in mixer-world) was the Toft Audio ATB series. Of course the 24-channel version has been ultra-popular for the mid-sized project studio, but it could by no means be described as compact. ATB08CH is new, and now in stock at Factory Sound. Exactly the same as ATB24CH, aside from the extra 16 channels. Excellent for tracking in the smaller project studio, running your stems through on mixdown, or the all-in-one for projects that don't require so many knobs and faders. No soundcard, no remote control, no motorised faders. Just a great sound in a compact package.
