It's time to take a stand
A lovely not-so-little price adjustment to brighten our day. Especially bouyant after knocking England out of the World Cup, our friends in the Konig & Meyer factory were sitting around with a few celebratory steins of Germany's finest, watching more vuvuzela on youtube. After a good session, they called the Australian importer of K&M stands, and demanded we get looked after.
"Um..." said Tony at Australia's K&M HQ. "How about we just drop the RRP across the whole range, and then everyone can be happy?"
"Ausgezeichnet!" exclaimed the conference callers from Wertheim. We think they're happy enough with that. And so are we. To activate K&M's new LOWER Recommended Retail Pricing on our website, click here. We are still offering excellent bulk-purchase pricing and our existing trade purchaser discounts will also still apply. Even better news, we've got loads in stock - just like usual.
Should you need something that is not on our website, double check a model number via K&M's own website, and we'll make sure you get hooked up with a great price.
New: Allen & Heath Zed10FX now in store
What a seriously great little mixer, the new ZED10FX. Awesome for so many reasons. What's your favourite feature? How about the inserts points over main L & R XLR outputs (which, by the way, have a very handy -30dB pad switch of you're using this as a sub-mixer). Separate stereo RCA outputs for Record out and Monitor out. 1 x dedicated Aux, 1 x FX Send (with excellent on-board digial effects, which can be wound easily into the Aux should you want some nice delay and 'verb in your foldback speakers).
Enough about the outputs though, how's the input section! 4 x XLR mic channels with 3-band eq (sweepable mid) and channels 3 & 4 have the very cool feature of a switchable input for using the line inputs as Hi Z guitar DI. Each of the 4 mono and 2 stereo channels AND the FX channel can be sent (by the press of a button) to the Record Bus, which in turn can be sent out of the USB port (or go old school and use the RCA outputs). And there is a playback input for left and right, with dedicated level control down near your monitoring control section. Just about anything is routable just about anywhere in this section. Seriously, it's an awesome little mixer. Come in for a closer look (or just enlarge the pic for the look-but-don't-touch experience)
Read full postThere's something about Vuvuzela
All we hear is Vuvuzela. No, it's not a Queen song. But is does seem that nearly everyone is crazy against the celebratory blasts from thousands of vuvezela at each and every World Cup 2010 football game. For instance, software plugin manufactures Waves has come up with a fix for your football viewing (and listening) pleasure, and not to be outdone, so have the clever folk at Presonus.
However, not everyone is anti-vuvuzela. In fact, we have quite embraced the swam of bees here at Factory Sound. So much so that we've borrowed (heavily) from one of our favourite SNL clips. Yes. It's time for MORE VUVUZELA!

Queen's Birthday - We're closed Monday 14th June
Amazing how quickly the start of snow season creeps up on us. But here we are! And for the Monarchists amongst us, that more importantly means that Queen's Birthday has arrived in Australia for 2010. So this weekend may hold work for you, it may give you the opportunity for some play. Quite possibly a bit of both.
For us, it means that we are open as usual on Saturday (10am - 4pm), closed as usual for Sunday, and also closed Monday 14th June for Queen's Birthday public holiday. Just giving you the heads up!
