Presonus StudioLive: go harder with Universal Control 1.5.2

Presonus, you've done it again. Not content with a simple software nip, tuck and tidy up to cater for Mac OS X® 10.7  (Lion), this latest version of Universal Control is a big plus for current (or future) StudioLive users.

First of all, straight to the big one - for anyone who's been wanting more graphic EQ for their StudioLive 16.4.2 you've now got it. In fact, how does six of them sound! Here's the extended blurb via Presonus website:

"StudioLive 16.4.2 mixer owners can now take advantage of six 31-band graphic EQs that are dedicated to the aux buses, variable (2 to 500 ms) output delays on each subgroup, and Aux Flip mode, which lets you include the Tape input, Main FireWire return, Aux A input Aux B input, FXA bus, and FXB bus in Aux mixes 1 through 6.

And just so no-one is feeling left out, StudioLive 16.0.2 owners have also been shown the love here, with "added compatability for PreSonus StudioLive Remote control software for Apple iPad® - a much-requested feature. With this update, StudioLive 16.0.2 owners can choose to record channels 1 through 16, as before, or can record channels 1 through 14 and the L/R main bus. Thus, you can use the StudioLive 16.0.2 to mix down previously recorded tracks and record the stereo mix to PreSonus Capture™ or to a DAW (including PreSonus Studio One™)"

It's a free download, so do it now! Here's the link to the Presonus press release page, which contains the download (down the bottom), and a bit more info. We've already updated our store demo consoles, and it's definitely exciting times ahead.

Presonus StudioLive 16.0.2 - Now in stock

For keen observers of internet pre-hype - you'll already know that there has been plenty of it surrounding the pre-release of this console. But... all pre-hype must eventually come to an end. In this case the news is all good though: Presonus StudioLive 16.0.2 is now in stock, and ready for action!

Major differences between the new 16.0.2 and the original StudioLive 16.4.2 or the bigger StudioLive 24.4.2?
The new 16.0.2 includes midi I/O, not found on the larger models. To help make this new puppy both smaller and even more cost-effective, you don't get the 4 external subgroup outputs. 8 mono + 4 stereo input channels, can be used as 12 mono input channels. Like the previous two releases, this is seriously a ripper little mixer. It is well suited for small live gig and audiovisual applications, and with the 16x16 firewire interface built in, is equally comfortable in your studio environment. As for using StudioLive 16.0.2 to record your live gigs - it's as easy as can be.

We've now got stock, so definitely come in and have a fiddle. We're pretty sure this first shipment won't last very long! And of course, there are deals to be done.
For those who'd like to kick back and check the features via video presentation, check this one made by Presonus:

Presonus StudioLive 24: bring on the big boy!

studiolive24-aNot long to wait now... StudioLive 24.4.2 is getting very close to landing at Factory Sound. In case you hadn't realised, we're big fans of StudioLive - with the 16 channel version has proving to be one of the most popular releases in recent memory.

Of course, it's been dead-set easy to strap a couple of StudioLive 16.4.2 mixers together to make a 32.4.2 solution (or daisy-chain up to 4 making a 64.4.2 monster), but in just a couple of weeks, we're going to have the brand new 24 channel version. Yes, it's slightly wider than the 'little' one, but 24 channels straight up - going to be be very handy for many users.

We've ordered most of the first shipment that's due to land in Australia around (hopefully) the last week of August, so if you'd like to be first to get your hands on 24 channels worth of StudioLive, make sure you speak with us! And yes, we'll keep you posted as soon as they hit.

StudioLive (16 channel version) has been hugely popular for live mixing applications. The sound is excellent, and firewire straight into your laptop makes for very impressive live recordings. If you can't wait for the 24, come in and have a play with the 16 channel while you're waiting.
