Now we don't really know how this has happened, but we've ended up with a bit over 100 pair of these ripper Sennheiser personal headphones - CX500B. Now, their baby brothers (CX300B) were legendary performers and well loved for both their sound and legendary longevity.
So.. these CX500B in-ear 'phones spec up even better, and although they have an already very fair Recommended Retail Price of $129.95, we've gone the full slash and you can grab these for just $59 per pair, while we've got stock. Goldmember 'phones bring the bling to your set
If you've been keeping up with our AudioTechnica journey, you'll remember Horibe* most recently from our trip to Integrate09. Aside from being a thoroughly good bloke (and a knowledgable one at that), he also has an impressive memory for all things 'Austin Powers'.
So, we were talking recently and the topic of our very own Dean came up. Horibe quickly said (in his best Goldmember impersonation) "Can I paint his yoo-hoo gold? It's kind of my thing, you know". After a slightly longer than awkward pause while we sipped an Asahi, we suggested that perhaps making a limited release pair of ATH-PRO700 GOLD headphones might be a little less painful AND way more people would get to see an AudioTechnica logo. "Oh yesh. Yesh yesh yesh yesh. This is a keeper" was the excited reply. I'm sure you'll agree that when he's wearing the 'goldmember' headphones, Dean looks "very toit. Yesh, toit like a toiger. Yesh Yesh Yesh"

Well, kind of. We caught up with one of our tippers from Factory Sound Footy Tipping $2008 last weekend - Ivabiggin was his tipping alias. Anyway, he was a bit spewin because he'd left his favourite pair of iPod headphones - Sennhiser CX300B - in his pants (we're amazed there was any room left, with a name like that), and put them through not one, but two wash cycles. They also went through a tumble dryer, until the pants were ready for Iva to pull on in public again.
So...Iva packs the CX300B headphones, and brings them in, ready to say "can you order me another set of these". He told us the story, and being the inquisitive types we asked him what they sounded like now.
"I don't know, I haven't plugged them in" he said. So he whipped his shuffle out of the other pocket, and plugged them in. Shortly after, he broke into laughter.
They still work perfectly. Nice one Sennheiser.
