clearance
GoPro clearance on original models
We often find ourselves getting a little carried away when it comes to the range of GoPro cameras. The display box they come in is roughly the size of a bunch of different microphones we stock and they also have a similarly small price tag. We see these little cameras as being absolute #1 for inexpensively recording a live gig with a very interesting stage POV, and a whopping big 170° FOV while shooting at 960p (and 127° FOV at full 1080p). PLUS they're impervious to smoke machine gunk and flying stage beer swills, as they operate inside a protective case that's waterproof to 60m.
See - there's that overexcitement peeping through already!
Ayway, the reason for this current excitement is because we're squashing the prices on all original (white boxed) GoPro camera packages, now that we've got a good continuous supply of HD Hero 2 cameras. The best value we see is the HD Naked (no packaged mounting accessories) at just $215 - but at the time of writing we also have very small amounts of HD Helmet Hero and HD Motorsports Hero, and we're letting them go for$269 each. STRICLY WHILE STOCK LASTS.
What about the HD Hero 2 range?
Well, we're glad you asked. These newer and somewhat sexier HD Hero 2 cameras (in the black display boxes) are a step up from the HD Hereo series, and come with a few tweaks to make them just a bit lovlier for your visual pleasure. The main differences - are most obviously to do with the still images.
- HD Hero 2 shoots still images @ 11, 8 or 5 MP (HD Hero is 5 MP)
- HD Hero 2 burst shots: 10 per sec (HD Hero is 3 per second)
- HD Hero 2 timelapse: 1 shot every 0.5, 1, 2, 10, 30,60 sec (HD Hero is 1, 2, 10, 30,60 sec)
Video differences:
- HD Hero 2 shoots 170° FOV @ full 1080p (HD Hero is 127° @ 1080p)
- greater variety of FOV settings on HD Hero 2
Extra bonuses:
- HD Hero 2 LCD screen for instructions is a little easier to read (not just a 3 digit code)
- 3.5mm external mic input available for HD Hero 2 (we'll just stick to our external recorders though)
So if you need a deal on either our remaining HD Hero stock, or you'd like to step it up to an HD Hero 2, get in touch and we'll make sure you're sorted ASAP

We love deals, as you've probably worked out by now. Sometimes we get some tasty ones put together by our suppliers - the importers of all this fine gear, and sometimes the deals are dreamt up by the manufacturers themselves. Usually though, this means that console is exactly what you want, but the speakers aren't quite what you're looking for - or vice versa.
BUT this time we've put the deal together, which means it's absolutely the best best gear we can squeeze into a price, no matter what the brand. We think this one is going to be very popular with bands, and some venues/entities that typically showcase bands, whether it be a school, PA rental company, beer garden, you get the picture.
Here's the deal: $7,854.00 worth of PA system (at RRP), for just $4920
Healthy discount you say? Yes - there's no use beating around the bush here. We've already done the hard work. You get 2 x EV powered subwoofers, 2 x EV powered top boxes, a Soundcraft 20ch mixer with effects, a couple of height adjustable distance poles to go between the subs and the mid-high boxes, PLUS we've thrown in a 4pc drum mic kit to really get the value for money ticking up.
Gear list:
2 x EV ELX118P powered subwoofers
2 x EV ELX112P powered 1000w 12" speakers
2 x K&M 21336 adjustable distance rods
1 x Soundcraft MFXi20 mixing console with effects
1 x AudioTechnica MB-DK4 drum mic kit (4 piece)
Not to put too fine a point on it, we are limited to just five (5) of these packages, as that's how many mixers we have allocated. The ripper Soundcraft mixer is set to be refreshed/updated/superseeded, and we've made sure there are some for these packages, before they all disappear.
So, just to reiterate - the RRP of this PA bundle is $7854, but we're letting them go for just $4920. Strictly while stock lasts. First mouse gets the cheese in this case.

This week is flying - sale week always does - and so are the specials. If you've been keeping up with our facebook page, you will have seen a few teasers go up the last couple of days. There will be more come the end of week, no doubt! The bad news is our customers have really ploughed through the powered speakers: particularly in demand have been RCF, QSC and EV (the new LiveX series). We still do have some stock, so if you need a speaker - there is no time like the present.
The good news? We've got stacks (literally) of mixing consoles ready to go. A few Presonus StudioLive 16ch and 24ch, some tasty Allen & Heath ZedSeries, plus the mighty GL2400/24 - and a good variety of Soundcraft. The model pictured above is Notepad124, which not only has 4 mic preamps, but also 4 stereo line channels.
It's seriously priced to clear at JUST $150 (RRP is $279 RRP).
If you want a seriously good price on any mixer, now is the time. Give us a call before the day is out, or come in anytime before 4pm Saturday 11th June 2011 to do the deal. And remember that June Sale week comes but once a year.
