New Shure PGX DIGITAL Wireless

Look at what we stumbled upon during the recent AMAC exhibition in Melbourne. Brand new from Shure, this is DIGITAL Wireless.

Obviously we're across the impending issues of digital whitespace, but this PGX-Digital is something completely above and beyond. Exciting too!

Anyway, it's so new that info is hard to come by... PGXD is not even live on Shure's website at the time of writing this (possibly because the launch of PGXD won't happen in USA until early 2011) . Have you got a spare 5 mins? If so, watch the video below for more explanation.

Otherwise, in a nutshell: The major point is THE SOUND - accurate reproduction of sound 20Hz - 20kHz, using 24-bit/48kHz digital technology. Double the 'normal' operating distance, too (up to 200 ft standard operation = approx 60m). To ensure future-proofing, Shure PGXD series is up in the 900MHz range.

Amazingly, before we even posted this info we have taken quite a few orders for PGXD, so if you want in on the first shipment (due in approx 1 week), definitely get in quick because we're quite likely to run out of the initial stock coming into Australia.
