A night out at GuruLand. On the day prior to this microphone seminar, we shared a few 'Emerald Hill Pale' beers with Sennheiser's Stephan Scherthan - so we already knew that Factory Sound TV would be in for an informative and entertaining evening. We weren't disappointed! Now then, Episode 4 of Factory Sound TV is a play in 3 parts. Act 1 is about the journey to Kev's GuruLand. Act 2 is an insight into the quality and flexibility of Sennheiser Evolution 900 series microphones, while Act 3 delves into the inner sanctum of Kev's GuruLand, starring the guru himself, plus a stunning cameo from the effervescent and very entertaining Jenny…
Director's Notes:The FS-TV team had a thoroughly entertaining evening. Three very good reasons: (i) highly informative and interesting seminar by Stephan, (ii) meeting the happy GuruLand crew, and (iii - possibly the most telling factor) we had a fair bit of grog that night, and stayed past stumps. From an editor's point of view, it was good to move away from 'The Urban Playboys' and meet some new people. That's when the penny dropped and we worked out that it's the people, not the products that make our days and nights working in the professional audio and entertainment industries so much fun.
